The ideal candidate will provide individual and group counseling to students with a wide variety of psychological, emotional and developmental concerns in accordance with American Counseling Association professional and ethical standards including providing crisis intervention services.  In this role, the Wellness Counselor will report directly to the Dean of Students.  Candidates must serve as a resource and consultant to the campus community, parents and others as appropriate, on issues relating to student mental health issues and problems affecting all students.  The candidate must have experience with emergency psychological care and/or mental health and behavioral intervention strategies. Candidates must have the vision to plan and execute sustainable emotional and physical health awareness programs for the campus.  Some weekend and evening time commitments will be required.  ​
