Operate vehicles on campus, city streets, and state highways while supporting fixed-route, demand-response, and special event transportation services. Conduct and oversee pre-trip safety inspections, maintain operational records, prepare daily statistical reports, and communicate service issues to supervisors. Assist with coordinating daily operations, resolving service concerns, and ensuring adherence to departmental policies and procedures. Open and prepare daily transit operations before scheduled service begins which includes ensuring vehicle, route, equipment, and operator readiness. Perform additional duties as assigned. Must be able to lift up to 50 pounds, and capable of stooping, bending, and kneeling to secure wheelchairs in compliance with ADA requirements.
