| The Academic Advisor provides holistic, student-centered guidance to a caseload of students, supporting their academic planning, course selection, and progress toward graduation. The position also includes teaching 1–2 sections of UNIV 1111 and participating in professional development and campus engagement activities that advance the overall student experience. Academic Advising at OSU expects that advisors will demonstrate knowledge and implement NACADA Core Values and Core Competencies in their practice. Academic Advisors have a regular physical presence on campus to support walk-in advising needs and same-day student support; this requires a daily in-person presence on campus. |
