In collaboration with colleagues and academic departments, the advisor contributes to student success initiatives, offers feedback on curriculum and policy, and may serve as a mentor within the advising team. The position also includes teaching 1–2 sections of UNIV 1111 and participating in professional development and campus engagement activities that advance the overall student experience. Academic Advising at OSU expects that advisors will demonstrate knowledge and implement NACADA Core Values and Core Competencies in their practice.
