Duties & Responsibilities  Assist in animal experimentation research projects, collecting data, including weighing, blood sampling, lambing, and tissue harvest. Conduct blood biochemical analysis and hormone assays. Conduct histological analysis, including basic histology and immunocytochemistry (IH) image analyses. Conduct molecular analysis such as RT-PCR and western blot (WB). Participate in preparing technical reports and manuscripts and assist graduate and undergraduate students in research activities. Keep accurate, dated work records, perform maintenance laboratory jobs, attend meetings, interpret and analyze data, and discuss with the principal investigator.
Budget Analyst (Land-Grant Programs)-2024 Langston
PRINCIPAL PURPOSE OF JOB: This position is critical to the Sherman Lewis School of Agriculture and Applied Sciences (SL/SAAS) and will closely associate with the Langston University Fiscal Office and LU/OSU Shared Services Grants and Contracts Office. He/she will work with the SL/SAAS Dean to support various aspects of budgeting financial activities in LU Land-Grant programs and ensure compliance with federal/state policies, procedures, regulations, and statutes. Assist the SL/SAAS Dean in coordinating, monitoring, and supervising SL/SAAS budgets, financial responsibilities, and applicable programs/activities within the SL/SAAS. Support, manage, and advise the development of strategic financial plans for efficient and effective allocation of funds and resources. Assist with inventory of all capital equipment and other purchased items in SL/SAAS. Provide regular updates of financial activities in specific program budgets. Work closely with the LU fiscal office to undertake budget monitoring activities and ensure accurate accountability for annual and sporadic financial reviews.
Chemical Hygiene Officer Stillwater
The Chemical Hygiene Officer (CHO) manages the university's chemical hygiene and chemical safety programs as required under OSHA, DOT, federal, state, and local regulations and is responsible for laboratory surveys and the OSHA Laboratory Standard Chemical Hygiene Plan program. The CHO coordinates or assists in the coordination of Environmental Health & Safety training programs, including bloodborne pathogen, managing chemicals in the workplace, hazardous materials, and chemical shipping programs. The position will serve on the Institutional Biological and Chemical Safety Committee (IBC). The position will also be the chemical/industrial hygiene/toxicology specialist and will do protocol chemical risk assessments. The CHO will manage the chemical inventory database system. The position also provides support to the Occupational Safety Program, Environmental Compliance Program, and Occupational Health Program.

The Grant Evaluation Coordinator will work in collaboration with the COMPACT Program Manager to implement the activities of the OSU Community Wellness Program's COMPACT( Community Prevention, Advocacy, Counseling, and Treatment) Program servicing Tulsa, Payne, Osage, Pawnee, Creek, and Okmulgee Counties. The Grant Evaluation Coordinator must be able to work independently and within a team environment. The Grant Evaluation Coordinator will work in collaboration with the Program Manager and Grant Coordinator and will coordinate evaluation efforts of the funded project which includes conducting assessments, surveys, trainings, assists in the organization of testing events, provides technical assistance, develops and disseminates messaging and awareness campaign materials, and attends local, state and regional meetings as required. The Grant Evaluation Coordinator will: a) identify community needs and gaps in services and network with community agencies, including healthcare professionals. b) provides expertise on alcohol, tobacco, and other drug (ATOD) and their linkage to HIV. c) maintains contact with communities including local governments, schools, and community coalitions. d) Recruits advocacy volunteers and stakeholders who serve the at risk racial/ethnic emergent population.
