| This position is responsible for performing preventive maintenance, diagnostics, and repairs on University, State, and Federal vehicles and equipment. Duties include test-driving automatic and manual transmission vehicles to diagnose concerns and verify completed repairs; performing routine preventive maintenance, such as fluid and filter changes, tire rotations, and system servicing; and repairing or replacing components within the fuel, brake, steering, suspension, drive train, electrical, and starting systems. The role also involves conducting inspections, replacing worn parts, ensuring compliance with established safety standards, maintaining accurate and legible maintenance documentation, recording meter readings, and keeping vehicles clean. A valid state driver’s license is required to conduct test drives. |
