*Senior Procurement Specialist Norman
The Senior Procurement Specialist plays a critical role within the Procurement Department, specifically supporting the university’s Information Technology (IT) team. This position manages complex, technology related procurements and serves as a subject matter expert for IT commodities including software licensing, cloud-based services, supplier hosted platforms, hardware acquisitions, and other technology solutions. The Senior Procurement Specialist is responsible for overseeing high dollar and specialized IT purchases, conducting detailed contract redlining and review, and collaborating closely with the Office of Legal Counsel to ensure compliance with university, state, IT security, and data privacy requirements. Additionally, the Senior Procurement Specialist provides guidance to junior procurement staff and contributes to the development of sourcing and contracting strategies that advance the university’s operational, academic, and technology goals.
Temporary Airport Transport Student Worker (Fall) Norman
To assist the University of Oklahoma with welcoming new international students at the Will Rogers International Airport. Students will direct incoming students towards OU sponsored transportation and answer general questions about OU campus. This position is temporary and will only be active during August of 2026 (employment dates are tentatively Saturday, August 8th – Wednesday, August 16th. Hired students must attend mandatory training on Friday, August 7th.)

What you will do: Receive and prioritize simultaneous calls on multiple instruments and dispatches responses to calls for service and to alarms. Control police radio frequencies, record and monitor all radio transmissions and incoming telephone calls and maintain required logs and records. The successful candidate will work with transgenic mouse models to conduct behavioral and physiological phenotyping, as well as histological and biochemical experiments. Prior experience with mouse handling is preferred. Background in neurobiology, physiology, molecular genetics, cell culture, or biochemical assays is a plus, but specific training will be provided. This position offers a hands-on opportunity to contribute to cutting-edge research aimed at understanding how the brain maintains body health and identifying new therapeutic targets for conditions such as obesity and diabetes. You will manage transgenic mouse colonies through breeding, genotyping, and weaning while assisting with blood and tissue collection and conducting behavioral, physiological, and pharmacological experiments. Your role involves performing wet lab techniques—such as cell culture, molecular biology, and solution preparation—alongside comprehensive data management and analysis. Additionally, you will maintain meticulous research logs, prepare reports and manuscripts for publication, and actively participate in lab meetings to present findings and discuss research progress with the Principal Investigator.
