(Revised) Athletics Graduate Assistants (Fall 2026)

| The purpose of the Athletics Graduate Assistant program is to support promising individuals who are
committed to a career in intercollegiate athletics and to continuing their education at the graduate level.
The graduate assistant appointments include: a full waiver of graduate tuition (student is responsible for
paying associated fees), a bi-weekly stipend, health insurance coverage and other benefits provided to
athletics department employees (benefits vary but may include complimentary admission to athletic
events).
Graduate Assistants are required to work an average of 20 hours per week during the academic year.
Hours required may vary by assigned area. Duties will vary with area of assignment. This listing is a
rolling listing that will stay open through Summer 2026. Hiring managers will pull applicants from the
pool as positions become available. If you are a chosen candidate, you can expect a response from a

Sports Nutrition Student Assistant (Summer)

| Assist staff and Sports Dietitians with daily duties and on-going projects for optimal fueling of the Oklahoma Sooner student-athletes
Assist in managing fueling stations, including transporting and stocking, inventory of nutritional products regularly
Assist in weekly ordering of sport-specific fueling stations
Train other interns on the guidelines, protocols of OU Sports Nutrition
Create educational handouts and additional signage as deemed necessary by Sports Dietitians
Facilitate in the preparation and delivery of nutritional supplements, food, and fueling station food items for student athletes
Sport assignments or game day operations as needed
Other duties as assigned by staff Sports Dietitians

Peer Learning Assistant – Physics and Math (Fall)

| Peer Learning Assistants (PLAs) provide academic assistance for students enrolled in a range of target courses, including introductory, upper-division, and instructor-managed sessions. PLAs are responsible for preparing for and staffing weekly small-group tutoring sessions, held in-person and/or online.
In this role, PLAs help maintain attendance records, facilitate study skills consultations, and communicate with course instructors regarding course materials and session promotion. PLAs also regularly report progress to the Student Learning Center Director and the SLC Lead Team.
PLAs are required to attend the following training sessions at the start of each semester:
New Member Onboarding / Basic CRLA Training — Prior to the start of classes (scheduled based on student availability)
CRLA Training Conference — Once per month on the last Friday (date TBA)
PLAs should expect a minimum average commitment of 4 hours per week, with opportunities for additional hours. Candidates must demonstrate a welcoming and inviting attitude, a commitment to fostering an inclusive environment, and a willingness to perform other related duties as assigned. |

Supplemental Instruction Leader - Biology (Fall)

| A Supplemental Instruction (SI) Leader is a student who provides peer academic support for an assigned course. SI Leaders help students at the University of Oklahoma better understand course concepts through collaborative, peer-led sessions. The position typically requires a time commitment of 10 hours per week during the academic semester, with some weeks requiring additional hours for training and professional development. SI Leaders attend all class lectures, promote sessions through announcements and reminders, and communicate regularly with course instructors and the SLC Admin Team.
SI Leaders display a welcoming attitude, support peer learning, and perform other related duties as assigned. Please provide the name and contact information for at least one OU faculty or staff member who can serve as a reference. |
