Student Program Coordinator, Transition Programs Norman
The office of New Student Programs is looking for a Student Program Coordinator for Start Sooner and Class Councils. This Coordinator will serve as the primary coordinator for Start Sooner, a 1-month summer bridge program for incoming students, and as the primary advisor for Class Councils, a departmental student organization tasked with creating freshman-, sophomore-, junior-, and senior-themed experiences for current students. This position requires a balance of social skills, event-management experience, and attention to detail. This role works with the Transition Team within New Student Programs and will support other efforts of the New Student Programs office.
Manufacturing and Integration Specialist Norman
The Sooner's Advanced Manufacturing Laboratory's Machining and Integration Specialist will support the fabrication and integration of components using additive and traditional manufacturing equipment available in the lab. This individual will program and operate various metal additive manufacturing, and CNC machines to produce finished components, fixturing, and tooling integral to the production of various engineering systems. This individual will also assist in electrical and mechanical integration to support research projects and educational activities.

Machinist Norman
The School of Aerospace and Mechanical Engineering (AME) is seeking a Machinist for the AME Machine Shop. The AME Machine Shop provides technical support to instructional labs used for teaching, experimental research labs, capstone projects and student competition teams. The Machinist is responsible for assisting faculty members and students in the required fabrication and modifications of equipment and facilities. A successful candidate requires a balance of technical skills (working with machining equipment such as lathes, mills, saws, and welders) and social skills to develop an understanding of the needs of the faculty members and students, to create a welcoming and safe environment in the AME Machine Shop.
Peer Learning Assistant – Physics and Math (Fall) Norman
Peer Learning Assistants (PLAs) provide academic assistance for students enrolled in a range of target courses, including introductory, upper-division, and instructor-managed sessions. PLAs are responsible for preparing for and staffing weekly small-group tutoring sessions, held in-person and/or online. In this role, PLAs help maintain attendance records, facilitate study skills consultations, and communicate with course instructors regarding course materials and session promotion. PLAs also regularly report progress to the Student Learning Center Director and the SLC Lead Team. PLAs are required to attend the following training sessions at the start of each semester: New Member Onboarding / Basic CRLA Training — Prior to the start of classes (scheduled based on student availability) CRLA Training Conference — Once per month on the last Friday (date TBA) PLAs should expect a minimum average commitment of 4 hours per week, with opportunities for additional hours. Candidates must demonstrate a welcoming and inviting attitude, a commitment to fostering an inclusive environment, and a willingness to perform other related duties as assigned.
