| The Oklahoma Biological Survey is looking for a student worker to care for garden beds of native plants for research projects, collect data on invertebrates in the field, and analyze citizen science data. Position will be a combination of outside manual labor, data collection outside, and indoor data entry and analysis. There will also be opportunities to help with environmental education events.
Job Duties:
Gather biological data on monarch butterflies and milkweeds from online resources for analysis:

Compile data into a useable format for analysis

Athletics Graduate Assistants (Fall 2026)

| The purpose of the Athletics Graduate Assistant program is to support promising individuals who are
committed to a career in intercollegiate athletics and to continuing their education at the graduate level.
The graduate assistant appointments include: a full waiver of graduate tuition (student is responsible for
paying associated fees), a bi-weekly stipend, health insurance coverage and other benefits provided to
athletics department employees (benefits vary but may include complimentary admission to athletic
events).
Graduate Assistants are required to work an average of 20 hours per week during the academic year.
Hours required may vary by assigned area. Duties will vary with area of assignment. This listing is a
rolling listing that will stay open through Summer 2026. Hiring managers will pull applicants from the

Research in the Hayes Lab focuses on how developmental immune stressors lead to changes in brain development and risk for neurodevelopmental disorders. The primary responsibilities of the position include assist in mouse colony maintenance, performing experiments, data collection, management, and analysis. The preferred candidate will have some basic laboratory experience, contribute to team science, and have an intrinsic curiosity for science and discovery. The candidate will have the opportunity to contribute to multiple research projects and publish research articles in peer-reviewed journals. The position is perfect for individuals interested in applying for graduate school and need to gain laboratory experience or are looking for a long-term laboratory position with the possibility for career advancement.
This position will provide general laboratory support by preparing solutions, stocking reagents, making aliquots, maintaining workstations, performing equipment maintenance/cleaning, organizing/storing samples appropriately, and conducting research experiments. Comfort with mouse handling, maintenance, treatment, and experimentation including preparing tissues and specimens for procedures is required. After training and displaying proficiency, this position includes independent work and may eventually involve a devoted project in line with the scientific mission of the lab. |

The role encompasses account reconciliation, financial reporting, budget support, data maintenance, and payroll coordination, contributing to the overall integrity of departmental operations.
Responsibilities include reconciling accounts by reviewing financial transactions and ensuring alignment between system reports and source documentation, such as accounts payable, deposits, and interdepartmental activity. The incumbent prepares and delivers detailed financial statements that reflect monthly activity, including section-level and consolidated reports, and identifies and communicates any discrepancies for resolution and appropriate approval.
The position monitors departmental accounts and spending activity, processes budget and cost transfers, and prepares requisitions and invoices within PeopleSoft. It also supports daily financial operations by managing deposits and maintaining accurate records of transactions, contracts, and agreements.
In collaboration with departments, principal investigators, and vendors, this role provides guidance on financial matters, ensuring appropriate use of funds and adherence to established policies and contractual obligations. The incumbent conducts financial analyses to support reporting needs, improve processes, and inform decision-making, and plays an active role in the annual budget preparation process.
Additional responsibilities include maintaining the accuracy and quality of financial data through regular review and investigation of discrepancies, as well as serving as a payroll coordinator or backup to ensure timely and accurate payroll processing.
