Graduate Research Assistant

| The purpose of the University Experiences Graduate Assistant program is to support promising individuals committed to a career in marketing, communications, and event management at the collegiate level, while also continuing their education at the graduate level.
The Graduate Assistant will assist with planning and executing, OU events and experiences, including ribbon-cutting ceremonies, tailgates, graduation ceremonies, receptions, dinners, lecture series, luncheons, and other events.
The graduate assistant appointment includes a bi-weekly stipend and health insurance coverage.
Graduate Assistants are required to work an average of 20 hours per week during the academic year. Schedule will vary based on event needs and may include nights and weekends around their class schedule. |

This position is responsible for overseeing the day-to-day operations of the Center, supervising poison information pharmacist specialists and administrative personnel, managing budgets and staffing resources, and collaborating with leadership to support strategic initiatives, research, grants, and quality improvement efforts. The Manager serves as a resource for complex poisoning cases, promotes excellence in staff development and performance, and advances the Center's mission through education, poison prevention, policy development, and partnerships with healthcare providers, public health agencies, and the community. | Student Outreach & Support Representatives are ambassadors for the University of Oklahoma, the College of Atmospheric and Geographic Sciences (AGS), and the National Oceanic and Atmospheric Administration (NOAA). This position serves as the first point of contact, providing exceptional customer service to visitors and callers of the AGS Dean’s Office. You will be responsible for creating a positive and welcoming environment while efficiently handling inquiries and requests from faculty, staff, and students. This position is responsible for responding to and completing tasks requested by office staff, such as creating infographics, processing tour requests, tracking, and restocking inventory. This position leads solo tours of the National Weather Center, providing facts and information about the building and its partners through fun and factual storytelling. Must be able to project voice over a large group, maintain professionalism, while being engaging with the various groups who visit the NWC. This position assists the Outreach Coordinator with outreach events on-site as well as off-site, which could be out of the Norman area and be held during nights and weekends. It is expected that the person in this position will be punctual, follow rules, guidelines, and procedures. This position allows ample opportunities to gain various experiences and skills such as outreach, public speaking, communication, coordination, customer service, organization, and so much more. |
