| The Norman Firehouse Art Center (FAC) enriches our community by offering the
highest quality visual arts education, experiences, and exhibitions.
History
Since 1970, the Norman Firehouse Art Center, Inc., a non-profit organization, has
served Norman and surrounding communities with visual art classes and gallery
exhibitions of the highest quality. Our faculty provides instruction in ceramics,
sculpture, painting and drawing, jewelry construction, fused and slumped glass and
more, in well-equipped classrooms.
Job Description
The Education Assistant will assist in outreach, accessibility and educational
programs. As such, they will support the Firehouse’s mission by helping to deliver
quality customer service and information about our organization. The successful
applicant will be able to interface and network with the public and our faculty. They
will also support the staff through administrative duties as assigned that pertain to
the business of the FAC Gallery and Firehouse programs. This position will build
experience for a career in museum education, non-profit management, and the art
field. |

| Performs a variety of duties involving general facilities maintenance. Performs routine maintenance and repair to facilities under minimal supervision in areas such as electrical, plumbing, HVAC, swimming pools, food service equipment, landscape, paint, and carpentry.
• Performs maintenance duties such as basic plumbing, electrical, heating, air conditioning, swimming pool maintenance and repair, paint, carpentry and landscape activities.
• Cleans the work area.
• Identifies emergency repairs beyond his/her skill level in order to summon on-call assistance using defined procedures.
• Performs minor equipment repair.
• Completes required forms and logs.
• Assist with gameday setup/teardown
• Performs tasks using small hand tools and power equipment.

| Providing customer service to the members of the Murray Case Sells Swim Complex. Serves as the first point of contact, responsible for greeting patrons, processing admission fees via POS systems, managing cash drawers, and answering inquiries about facility hours, rates, and programs. This role ensures a welcoming environment, keeps the front desk area clean, and completes other duties as assigned. Assisting with emergency procedures, which may include clearing the front desk area, following emergency action plans, and reporting incidents. |

Membership Attendants provide customer service to the members of the Sarkeys Fitness Center. They will run register for sales and membership, adhering to all proper payment handling processes. Membership Attendants provide program and service information, both in person and on the telephone. They will enforce facility policies, assist with data entry, respond during emergency situations, and clean and maintain the center. |
