What you will do: Plan and execute, OU events and experiences, including ribbon-cutting ceremonies, tailgates, graduation ceremonies, receptions, dinners, lecture series, luncheons, and other events. Food Services Worker - Wagner Dining	Norman	3 Sep 2026
Wagner Dining, located inside Headington Hall (a housing community in partnership with OU Athletics) provides a robust selection of menu items for residents and guests. Prepare food following recipes and applying individual portion control standards. Properly and safely measures, weighs and combines ingredients for quantity preparation of simple menu items. Utilizes various kitchen utensils, appliances, and heavy/industrial equipment in food preparation (ovens, knives, peelers, dicers, slicers, mixers, industrial dish machines, recycling, stoves, etc.).Serves food in a courteous and respectful manner, with proper portion control and knowledge of menu items. Load, carry, and transport hot or cold food items or containers to customers, serving lines, or dining tables-safely, efficiently and timely. Loads and transports food carts to and from designated floor units. Washes, sanitizes, and stores pots, pans and kitchen utensils in designated areas. Scrapes dishes and cleans tables, serving areas. Cleans counters and floors. Follows proper kitchen standards when cleaning/sanitizing the work area (floors, food carts, cabinets, tables, kitchen utensils and equipment, dishes, and tableware, etc.).Assists with special events across the University and across campuses that may include Presidential luncheons and dinners, catering needs, student organizational special requests, and day-to-day events. Assists other food services staff when necessary and voluntarily as much as possible. The functions described here are not all-encompassing of those an employee may encounter while on the job. *Normally, employees on a 5 hour shift receive a free meal. Uniforms are provided at no cost, but must be maintained by the employee.*

This position is responsible for a wide range of duties related to the preparation, production, and service of food and beverages while maintaining high standards of quality, safety, and sanitation. Food Service Workers play a vital role in ensuring a positive guest experience by preparing food to established standards, maintaining clean and organized workspaces, and delivering exceptional customer service. This role requires attention to detail, the ability to follow procedures, and a commitment to upholding university and health department guidelines. ¿ Prepares, produces, and/or sets up and serves food items to include daily specials, standard menu offerings, limited time offerings, infusion meals, catering meals, standard menu, etc. ¿ Stocks and stores food services items. ¿ Receives, rotates, and dispenses food commodities using all applicable guidelines. ¿ Utilizes various kitchen utensils, appliances, and heavy/industrial equipment in food preparation. ¿ Operates a variety of manual and/or automatic kitchen equipment such as ovens, grills, dishwashers, mixers, slicers, etc. ¿ Promotes a safe and healthy workplace by identifying unsafe practices, unsafe equipment, and removing refuse as soon as appropriate. ¿ Uses appropriate practices for safe cleaning and is responsible for own safety and safety of others. ¿ Provides professional and exceptional customer service. ¿ Adheres to University policies, as well as health department quality and safety standards. ¿ Performs various duties as needed to successfully fulfill the functions of the position.

Services include in-depth health and social needs assessments, coaching for self-management, and connections to vital community resources.
