Associate Director or Director of Athletics Communications Norman
Serve as the primary communications contact for an OU women's gymnastics program that has won seven of the last ten national championships, as well as volleyball during the spring season. Identify and execute unique digital and social media opportunities related to assigned sports; create unique written content, features, and news releases; design media guides; compile statistics; manage website content for assigned sports, arrange media interviews, travel to select away events, etc. Serve as Women's College World Series local media coordinator. Assist in all aspects of office activity and in coverage of other sports and events as required. Serve in a co-oversight role of the student intern program. Serve in a supervisory role with a postgraduate intern and an undergraduate assistant with the sports of women's and men's tennis, respectively.
Senior Director of Creative Strategy Norman
The Senior Director of Creative Strategy directly oversees the graphic design and photography departments and is responsible for devising, implementing and managing the strategy, vision and direction of the Oklahoma Athletics brand, comprising all external print communications and digital campaigns in collaboration with various departments and Oklahoma's 21 sports programs.
Athletics Graduate Assistants (Fall 2026) Norman
The purpose of the Athletics Graduate Assistant program is to support promising individuals who are committed to a career in intercollegiate athletics and to continuing their education at the graduate level. The graduate assistant appointments include: a full waiver of graduate tuition (student is responsible for paying associated fees), a bi-weekly stipend, health insurance coverage and other benefits provided to athletics department employees (benefits vary but may include complimentary admission to athletic events). Graduate Assistants are required to work an average of 20 hours per week during the academic year. Hours required may vary by assigned area. Duties will vary with area of assignment.
