Food Services Worker - Residential Colleges Dining

| Prepare food following recipes and applying individual portion control standards. Properly and safely measures, weighs and combines ingredients for quantity preparation of simple menu items. Utilizes various kitchen utensils, appliances, and heavy/industrial equipment in food preparation (ovens, knives, peelers, dicers, slicers, mixers, industrial dish machines, recycling, stoves, etc.). Serves food in a courteous and respectful manner, with proper portion control and knowledge of menu items. Load, carry, and transport hot or cold food items or containers to customers, serving lines, or dining tables-safely, efficiently and timely. Loads and transports food carts to and from designated floor units. Washes, sanitizes, and stores pots, pans and kitchen utensils in designated areas. Scrapes dishes and cleans tables, serving areas. Cleans counters and floors. Follows proper kitchen standards when cleaning/sanitizing the work area (floors, food carts, cabinets, tables, kitchen utensils and equipment, dishes, and tableware, etc.). Assists with special events across the University and across campuses that may include Presidential luncheons and dinners, catering needs, student organizational special requests, and day-to-day events. Assists other food services staff when necessary and voluntarily as much as possible. The functions described here are not all-encompassing of those an employee may encounter while on the job. Will wash dishes, put up clean dishes. Will help put away food items into dry storage, production spaces, refrigerators and freezers. Will complete assigned equipment maintenance on fryers and ice machines, and other equipment as necessary. |

Facilities Maintenance student employees are responsible for the cleaning and maintenance of Sarkeys Fitness Center and other Fitness and Recreation facilities, including recreational fields.
Job duties will include, but will not be limited to: vacuuming, dusting, scrubbing, emptying trash, cleaning restrooms and locker rooms, and other duties as assigned. Will respond during emergency situations. Customer service.

PEAK - Street Light Technician

| OU Facilities is seeking a skilled and motivated Street Light Technician to support the installation, maintenance, and repair of streetlight systems across the University of Oklahoma campus. Through OU’s PEAK Temporary Staffing program, this role offers hands‑on electrical work, daily problem‑solving, and the chance to contribute to the safety and reliability of campus infrastructure.
Working under direct supervision, you will assist with installing and inspecting streetlights, troubleshooting circuits, repairing wiring, and assembling conduit, fittings, and junction boxes. The position also supports streetlight pole setting, circuit testing, and routine maintenance tasks. You’ll use a variety of hand tools, power tools, ladders, and electrical equipment while participating in ongoing training to strengthen your technical skills.
Candidates must have a High School Diploma, GED, or Trade School Certification, along with 24 months of electrical experience. Preference is given to applicants with at least six months of streetlight‑specific work. A valid Oklahoma Driver’s License (or ability to obtain one within 30 days) and a current Oklahoma electrical journeyman’s license are required.
Success in this role requires strong knowledge of electrical materials, tools, and repair methods, as well as advanced understanding of electrical codes and safety practices. The ability to read schematics, blueprints, and drawings is essential, along with the ability to identify maintenance needs and communicate effectively with supervisors.
