The Director of Communications, Marketing, and Industry Relations for Auxiliary Enterprises (AE) provides strategic leadership and hands‑on execution of integrated marketing, branding, and communications initiatives that support revenue generation, brand visibility, and alignment with University priorities. The position plans and implements short‑ and long‑term marketing strategies, manages internal and external messaging, and ensures consistent brand representation across AE’s diverse portfolio, including Dining, Catering, Hotel UMass, Conference Services, retail and off‑site enterprises, sustainability initiatives, and major events.
Power Plant Manager Amherst
The Power Plant Manager leads the plant operations and maintenance groups in the safe and efficient operation of the University of Massachusetts Amherst Central Heating Plant, manages the daily operation of the Central Heating Plant, assuring all plant operations are done in compliance with all permits, laws, and regulations and, has significant input to the scheduling of preventative, predictive, corrective and overhaul maintenance of all Central Heating Plant equipment and systems.

This director position will build and manage a team of staff (2-3) focused on providing faculty and research staff with support in the development and submission of sponsors (including industry & non-profit foundations), compliant grant proposals (including interpreting sponsor guidelines), complying with University policies and developing appropriate budgets. This position reports to the Associate Dean of Research.
Team Leader, Project Management Office Amherst
This position supports the Head of the Project Management Office in the day-to-day coordination and operational functions of the PMO. This role helps maintain project management standards, processes, and methodologies by assisting project managers and ensuring consistent application of PMO practices across campus projects. The Team Lead serves as a first point of contact for project related inquiries, supports the development of PMO programs such as the mentor–mentee initiative, and contributes to effective project delivery that aligns with the university’s goals.
