| The Assistant Dean of Finance and Planning provides leadership, organization, analysis and management for the finance and planning functions of the college and its associated departments and programs. The professional in this role takes steps to ensure services function effectively, efficiently, and in compliance with legal and regulatory requirements as well as University policies, practices, and procedures. The Assistant Dean provides executive-level work to analyze and address matters of financial management and planning, including the development of sophisticated financial or statistical reports and presentations that inform best practice decision-making, leading the College towards established goals or future objectives and in support of its social justice mission. The person in this role works closely with the Director of Human Resources to ensure proper coordination of leadership strategy and personnel actions. In addition to directly supervising two staff members in the Financial Services Office, this role provides functional oversight of all financial functions and may provide functional supervision and direction to other staff members in the performance of finance-related duties. |

Clerk V - Intake Coordinator

Clerk IV (Administrative Support Specialist)

| The Administrative Support Specialist (Clerk IV) provides clerical, operational support and serves as a liaison between the HFA Dean’s Office, faculty and staff of HFA’s fourteen academic departments and eight programs, staff of the Provost’s Office, staff of the central Human Resources Office, and other university business units.

Post Doctoral Research Associate - Paros Center

| Conduct original research in Mesoscale and Local-Scale Weather Hazards in collaboration with faculty in the College of Natural Sciences, College of Engineering, and others in the Paros Center for Atmospheric Research at UMass, Amherst.
The main objective of this position is to conduct observations-based research, supported by numerical simulations, on high impact mesoscale and local-scale weather systems, with a strong motivation to obtain societally beneficial research outcomes. |
