| The Regional Public Health Nursing Professional (RPHNP) facilitates the preceptorship and clinical experiences for nursing students in the Eastern Massachusetts region, support Local Public Health (LPH) staff and Public Health Nurses (PHNs) in the planning and implementation of Foundational Public Health Service (FPHS) Programs, and acts as a subject matter expert in the Local Public Health Nursing Training Program. This role involves developing supportive systems for local public health organizations, leading classroom and clinical training, and providing clinical consultation and region-specific training.
This position has an initial 2-year duration. Continuation of this position is contingent upon funding. |

| The Farm Energy Assessor is primarily responsible for conducting U.S. Department of Agriculture’s Natural Resources Conservation Service (NRCS) aligned farm energy assessments and producing energy improvement plans for farms across Massachusetts. This position focuses on independent field assessment, energy-use analysis, technical report writing, development of actionable recommendations to reduce energy use and operating costs, and improve the implementation of recommended actions.
The Assessor works in coordination with NRCS, UMass Clean Energy Extension, and partner organizations to support farm clients through an energy auditing process, providing guidance on applicable incentive pathways, and contributing to outreach and training activities that support program delivery. This is a field-based, self-directed role requiring technical judgment, strong interpersonal skills, report writing ability, and comfort working independently across a wide range of farm operations and facilities. |

| The Skouta research group covers chemical biology, and in vivo studies. The major interest of the lab is the development of small molecule inducers of ferroptosis cell death with well-defined target(s) for cancer therapeutics. Ferroptosis is a recently emerged novel cell death that may complement the known programmed cell death (PMID: 27159577; PMID: 24592866; PMID: 35453641).
We are currently seeking a highly skilled and dedicated individual to join our research team focused on studying the toxicity and efficacy of small molecules in vivo. As a member of our team, you will play a critical role in evaluating the safety and effectiveness of novel compounds for potential therapeutic applications. The successful candidate will be involved in the evaluation of the efficacy study of small molecules inducing ferroptosis in mice for the development of better therapeutic treatments. The appointee is expected to establish some independence in research design and execution, and to publish the lab work as appropriate in collaboration with the principal investigator. |
