Service Desk Team Lead Amherst
The Service Desk Team Lead is responsible for managing the delivery of high-quality technical support to the UMass Amherst community, including students, faculty, and staff. This includes monitoring performance across multiple support channels (in-person, phone, email, web, and chat), ensuring accurate documentation in the Service Desk ticketing system, and guiding staff in the use of sound judgment when analyzing and resolving IT account and technology-related issues. The supervisor provides coaching and feedback, supports professional development, ensures adherence to service standards, and facilitates appropriate escalation and referral processes. Additionally, the supervisor collaborates with other IT units to improve service delivery and contributes to continuous improvement initiatives.
Senior Human Resources Business Partner Amherst
The Senior Human Resources Business Partner (HRBP) is a member of the embedded Human Resources team that directly supports the University’s Administrative and Finance Organization. This position delivers hands-on Human Resources support tailored to a high volume of complex, local needs. Supervises a team of HR professionals that manage and deliver tailored HR solutions and services consistent with institution-wide policies and standards. Ensures high-quality service delivery, dedicated unit expertise and continuous improvement. The Residence Director is responsible for leading the overall student experience within residence halls including student learning using a curricular approach, student support and wellbeing, staff supervision and development and response to a range of complex student and staff concerns. The Residence Director participates in a range of department initiatives and projects.
Post Doctoral Research Associate - Paros Center Amherst
Conduct original research in Mesoscale and Local-Scale Weather Hazards in collaboration with faculty in the College of Natural Sciences, College of Engineering, and others in the Paros Center for Atmospheric Research at UMass, Amherst. The main objective of this position is to conduct observations-based research, supported by numerical simulations, on high impact mesoscale and local-scale weather systems, with a strong motivation to obtain societally beneficial research outcomes.
Extension Educator II Turf and Landscape Amherst
The Turf and Landscape Educator II will be an integral part of UMass Extension’s Commercial Horticulture group, supporting the development and implementation of educational resources and programming; including organization, presentation, and delivery of relevant research-based information to meet the needs of horticultural stakeholders statewide, with the enhancement of economic, human, and environmental health and sustainability of relevant industries as priorities. This position will support and deliver turf and landscape management and cross-commodity programming in collaboration with Extension staff and faculty, and other internal and external collaborators.
