| The Program Coordinator for the Kinney Center for Interdisciplinary Renaissance Studies works with the Director and Librarian to manage and develop the Center’s research, educational, arts, and public-facing programs. Part of the College of Humanities and Fine Arts, the Kinney Center fosters programs and collaborations that extend across the Five Colleges and is a member of the New England Humanities Consortium. The ideal candidate will bring expertise in early modern studies together with strong administrative and organizational skills to expand the Center’s interdisciplinary partnerships and public humanities initiatives, including its artist-in-residence and fellowship programs and Renaissance of the Earth project.

| The Department of Chemistry (www.chem.umass.edu) invites applications for a nine-month, full-time, non-tenure track Lecturer position starting Fall semester 2027. The Lecturer will be expected to perform the duties of a lead instructor of General, Organic Chemistry, and/or Inorganic Chemistry courses, teaching lecture sections and laboratory. This position will have a typical teaching load of 2 undergraduate lecture sections per semester or a laboratory course and a lecture section. The initial appointment is for one year with the possibility of renewal upon successful performance review. The candidate should have a proven commitment to outstanding teaching. A commitment to educational/professional development and service is strongly encouraged.
Qualified candidates must have completed a Ph.D. in Chemistry or a related area at the time of application. The successful candidate will demonstrate an interest in joining a team of instructors dedicated to excellence in teaching using modern, evidence-based pedagogical approaches, with an emphasis on inclusiveness and accessibility to support the success of a diverse student body. |
