The Adjunct Instructor for Sociology is responsible for teaching part-time within the program. The successful Adjunct Instructor for Sociology must possess the academic and practical expertise to guide student learning and success, and to serve as a mentor and model for students. This position will demonstrate strong instructional skills and engage a diverse student body using traditional, nontraditional, and innovative methods of instruction and effectively structure classes and curriculum to support program and course outcomes. The Student Accounts Coordinator functions as a subject matter expert in student financial account management, providing advanced analysis and resolution for complex student accounts. This role acts as a primary advocate and high-level problem-solver for students, addressing complex inquiries regarding tuition, fees, payment options, collections, and the refunding process. Beyond student support, this position manages the technical reconciliation of batch payments and serves as a lead for FERPA compliance, process improvement, and student worker training. The coordinator independently troubleshoots systemic issues between the college’s information systems and third-party partners to ensure accurate, timely, and compliant operations.
