An outstanding opportunity exists for an experienced Principal Electrical Engineer to join our team based in Toronto, ON.  Reporting to the Senior Manager - Engineering & Processing, this exciting role is responsible for overseeing instrumentation & control engineering and design work performed by the EPCM contractor for processing, underground and support facilities at the Jansen Project Site.

Key responsibilities include, but are not limited to:
• Overriding Commitment to Health, Safety, Environmental Responsibility, and Sustainable Development
• Oversee the instrumentation & control engineering and design work performed by the EPCM or other contractors
• Ensure 'prevention through design' principles are applied by the engineer and consultants
• Manage Dynamic Process Modelling of activities from ore delivery to surface through to shiploading
• Manage development of Process Plant Operations Training Simulator
• Ensure all engineering work in Selection and Definition Phases comply with BHPB standards
• Analysis of technical suitably of hardware and software options
• Process Control System / IM Systems Interface
• Process Flowsheet Reviews for Identification Study Projects
• Promote a zero harm environment and demonstrate commitment to safety practises during the design work and work to be conducted on site
• Monitor and control project systems and procedure compliance
• Review and monitor the performance by the construction team
• Key influencer in the decision making process regarding equipment selection
