About the role:
As a Senior Salesforce Engineer, you will play a key role in the transformation of the Commercial & Personal Injury business. We have an ambitious program of work to deliver the CRM of the future for our Intermediated customers, alongside future business transformation programs.
This role will suit an individual who can look forward and help us to continuously improve our Salesforce Platform, guided by experienced Salesforce Developers and Administrators in our team. In this role, you will take ownership of all programmatic requests. You will work alongside our Salesforce team to collaborate on specifications based on stakeholder requirements and projects.
More specifically, you will:
- Lead the technical setup and governance of the platform including DevOps tools
- Oversee the maintenance and updates of the platform and technical elements (apex, VF etc)
- Responsible for training and guiding junior developers and other members on the team
- Collaborating with the Salesforce team to validate business requirements and any considerations (security, scalability, limits),
- Develop Apex (classes and triggers) and Visualforce to extend Salesforce in order to support business requirements.
About You:
- Minimum 3 years' experience as a Salesforce Developer
- Minimum 1 year experience in a Senior Salesforce Developer capacity
- Experience in understanding and implementing OOPS design is mandatory
- Previous experience implementing Salesforce Sales, Service and Marketing clouds is mandatory.
- Experience in building Salesforce Lightning components is mandatory.
- Experience with Lightning flows, process builder, Apex Classes/Controllers/Triggers, Force.com, Visual Force, IDE, Eclipse, Data Loader is mandatory.
- Proficiency in SOQL, HTML, XML, SQL, JavaScript, Aura Framework, Lightning Design system, SOAP-based web services or REST is preferred.
- Experience working within software development life cycle and project delivery methodologies (Agile) is mandatory.
- Knowledge of environment, security and code management practices is mandatory
- Experience working within the Insurance Industry is preferred
