This role is accountable for delivering claims outcomes which contribute to the Group’s financial performance, while delivering excellent customer outcomes for those injured in a workplace accident in the NSW Workers Compensation Scheme.

This role is accountable for delivering a strong claims management operation which provides effective management of statutory benefit claims in a timely, cost-effective manner, while delivering optimal customer outcomes and meeting all scheme compliance obligations.

This is a 12-month secondment role.

What you’ll do

• Lead a customer facing team that delivers the CPI strategy and will execute a program of work
• Provide leadership to achieve superior claims handling and operational results, through the execution of claims management strategies within the NSW Workers Insurance scheme
• Achieve excellence in the delivery of the desired claims experience through effective and efficient claims handling practices in line with contract and legislation requirements
• Build high performing, motivated and engaged teams to deliver performance outcomes
• Manage resourcing and FTE transition in the Scheme as claims volumes change
• Focus on small employer claims and will deliver claims operations to our key strategic partner, icare (NSW Government)

What you’ll bring
