Licensing Manager – Non-Liquor & Licensing

The Role

Our Merchandise and Licensing Business has grown significantly over the last 18 months, and we are looking to dial up this new revenue stream.   We’re on the hunt for a Licensing Manager to lead Brand Extensions in Non-Liquor and Licensing, and bring our iconic brands to categories beyond alcohol.  This goes from straightforward quality and brand building apparel collections, to soft and hard ware, food licensing but also includes categories like travel and accommodation. 

Key Responsibilities

  • Define the role of licensing for each brand, as well as it’s short and long term growth potential in partnership with the brand management teams;
  • Partner with agencies and licensees to design, develop, sell and promote new goods and services in line with our brand goals and objectives ;
  • Maintain the standards of excellence and execution for licensing, including best practices for agency and partner selection, asset management, product approval and quality assurance;
  • Develop the end-to-end licensing process for all brands, including strategy, planning, go-to-market materials, style guides and product development. Monitor and track the execution of all licensed products;
  • Input into the P&L including 1 year and 3-year projections, managing all revenue reporting and royalty collection;
  • Liaise with brands and legal teams, manage all approvals for new products and put in measures to best protect IP;
  • Develop a local licensing product tracking methodology. Track all licensing and merchandise projects defining steps and responsibilities;
  • Prospect, identify and foster critical retail partnership across fashion retail, big box and homewares industries;
  • Working with the wider Extensions team, brief in and produce a healthy 12 month product pipeline catering to all retail partner needs and key sell-in milestones

About You

  • A minimum 3-5 years’ experience working in licensing management, retail buying or similar industries;
  • Experience in corporate licensing (preferred);
  • A self-starter with proven capability managing projects from end to end;
  • Experience in increasing brand worth through merchandise through retail and/or e-Commerce with an extensive network within FMCG and Lifestyle retail
  • Strong stakeholder management skills, with demonstrated ability to influence internally and externally;
  • Experience with the management of eCommerce Platforms (desired)
