VP – Sales  

About the Role  

As Vice President – Sales, you will lead our Sales team to deliver our dream of being Australia’s most admired CPG organization, whilst owning the long-term sales strategy that will achieve CUB’s financial, category, customer and culture goals.    

Reporting to the CEO and a key member of CUB’s Leadership Team, you will manage one of the largest P&L’s in CPG and lead a team of over 300 to drive our iconic brands throughout Australia.  

Key Responsibilities  

  • Collaborate across the CUB Leadership Team to develop and execute a long-term sales strategy;  

  • Understand the context in which CUB operates (market, competitor, customer, cultural dynamics etc) and translate this into strategy and plans; 

  • Direct the development and approval of annual commercial plans in line with strategy; 

  • Identify best practice, internally or externally, and introduce it to CUB;  

  • Review of performance at the CUB Leadership Team level and set the direction for the Sales Leadership team to course correct;  

  • Approve changes to the Commercial Plan (e.g. Demand Plan, Activity Plan);  

  • Build a high performing sales team through developing a customer centric culture in sales and across CUB;  

  • Build a highly effective Sales Leadership team and drive leadership capability development across the function;  

  • Drive the people agenda across sales, including performance management and talent management 

About You  

  • Previous experience as a Sales Director or leading the sales function; 

  • 10+ years' experience in commercial leadership roles within CPG, ideally within the Drinks industry; 

  • Experience leading and engaging large teams (250+ employees) with demonstrated ability to engage and mobilize large teams around a strategy and drive execution;  

  • Strong understanding and experience with commercial levers and optimizing revenue;  

  • Extensive experience with customer relationship management and complex, large scale negotiations;  

  • Degree qualified in Finance, Business, Marketing or Commerce (MBA preferred)
