The Role
The Clinical Nurse Consultant (CNC) - Emergency Department (ED):
- Provides advanced knowledge and skills ln emergency care nursing.
- Provides high level clinical support and clinical leadership to the Nurse Unit Manager (NUM) in the effective coordination and supervision of nursing and support staff within the ED.
- Ensures the safe, effective delivery of care in accordance with contemporary standards and practice by actively participating in the development and implementation of National Safety Quality Health Service (NSQHS) Standards, Clinical Practice Guidelines (CPG’s), clinical research, projects, and patient safety strategies within the ED environment and the broader Agency.

Details of Appointment
Fixed term, part time, shift worker position, working up to 23 hours per fortnight, commencing from as soon as possible until 30 April 2025.

Classification:
Salary $111,506 - $118,336 per annum (pro rata) + 11.5% superannuation + access to salary packaging
- Salary range is in accordance with Nurses and Midwives (Tasmanian State Service) Agreement 2023 and Nurses and Midwives (Tasmanian State Service) Interim Agreement 2013

Registered with the Nursing and Midwifery Board of Australia as a Registered Nurse
*Registration/licences that are essential requirements of this role must remain current and valid at all times whilst employed in this role and the status of these may be checked at any time during employment. It is the employee’s responsibility to ensure that registration/licences remain current and to advise the Employer if their circumstances change. This includes notifying the Employer if a registration/licence is revoked, cancelled or has its conditions altered.

- Holds a relevant post graduate tertiary qualification
