The Role
- Function as an advanced clinical practitioner co-ordinating the daily staffing for Nursing, Ward Aide, Ward Clerk, and Attendants in accordance with Agency policies and legal requirements, including coordination of, and assisting with, the recruitment of staff for the permanent pool and casual on call staff.
- Coordinate and monitor in liaison with Nurse Unit Managers, the adhoc staffing shortfalls for the oncoming week, with a focus on reducing reliance on overtime, double shifts and staff fatigue and wellbeing management.
- Undertake a leadership role in ensuring clinical and support services meet Nursing Hours per Patient Day and Safe Staffing levels in collaboration with Nurse Unit Managers.

Details of Appointment
Fixed term, part time, day worker position, working 48 hours per fortnight, commencing as soon as you can join the team until 12 April 2025

Classification:
Salary $111,506 to $118,336 per annum (pro rata) + 11.5% superannuation + access to salary packaging
- Salary range is in accordance with Nurses and Midwives (Tasmanian State Service) Agreement 2023 and Nurses and Midwives (Tasmanian State Service) Interim Agreement 2013

Registered with the Nursing and Midwifery Board of Australia as a Registered Nurse
Registration/licences that are essential requirements of this role must remain current and valid at all times whilst employed in this role and the status of these may be checked at any time during employment. It is the employee’s responsibility to ensure that registration/licences remain current and to advise the Employer if their circumstances change. This includes notifying the Employer if a registration/licence is revoked, cancelled or has its conditions altered.

- Relevant post graduate qualifications
- Current Working with Children Registration
