Clinical Nurse Educator - Operating Room Suite

The Role
- The role of the Clinical Nurse Educator – Operating Room Suite (ORS) is to facilitate and support the development of the nursing workforce (including undergraduate and enrolled nursing students) and ancillary staff as a part of the health care team by planning, promoting, coordinating, implementing and evaluating education programs in the clinical inpatient surgical suite (Operating Room Suite).
The Team:
- ORS is a fast-paced surgical area with a strong interdisciplinary team focused on best patient care and outcomes.
- Specific skills and experience in Post Anaesthetic Care Unit (PACU) are desirable.
- The role of CNE in ORS works in close collaboration with the Nursing leadership team across the suite and the wider Department of Surgery to support exemplary evidence based and patient centred care.

Details of Appointment
Fixed term, part time, day worker position, working 40 hours per fortnight, commencing from 29 July 2025 until 20 August 2025.
Please note that hours may be negotiated with the successful applicant
Classification:
Salary $114,851 - $121,886 per annum (pro rata) + 12% superannuation + access to salary packaging
- Salary range is in accordance with Nurses and Midwives (Tasmanian State Service) Agreement 2023

Eligibility
Successful applicants will be required to meet the essential criteria.
- Registered with the Nursing and Midwifery Board of Australia as a Registered Nurse
Applicants should note the following criteria are desirable:
- Holds, or is working towards, relevant postgraduate qualifications
- Current Working with Children Registration
