The Role

This exciting full time role will be based at our 990 La Trobe Street Head Office, and working from home. As the Senior Asset Practitioner, Flood Risk Reduction you will be working as part of the Catchment Asset Management team.

This role will be responsible for providing advanced technical advice and support to the Area Lead in applying best practice asset management in the development of integrated 3-5 year rolling investment programs that deliver the required flood risk reduction services in line with the Port Philip and Westernport Flood Strategy.

Your Skills and Experience

  • Detailed understanding of flooding and flood risk reduction mechanisms.
  • Able to interrogate results from hydrologic and hydraulic modelling studies (reports and GIS)
  • Experience in developing effective networks and proven judgement in a diverse and complex multiagency delivery environment. 
  • Good problem solving and analytical skills which adds value to business and customers
  • Experience in working in senior roles in high performing teams.

Your ability to establish and maintain collaborative working relationships with internal and external stakeholders is required together with a qualification in Civil Engineering or other relevant area.
