This full time role is based from our Warburton work centre in the picturesque Yarra ranges. Reporting to the Manager Delivery Upper Yarra & Thomson you will be responsible for leading, managing and mentoring Crews and Seasonal Firefighters to ensure Melbourne Water is fire ready and can deliver Civil and Natural Resource Management maintenance works.
Within the role you will ensure the delivery and facilitation of efficient and effective maintenance (and where applicable minor capital programs), through front line operational leadership, direction and support to team members, service providers and other contractors. As well as ensuring the delivery of the works program is integrated, enhanced, balanced and continuously improved to deliver the best outcome for operations, customers and key stakeholders.
Due to the nature of the role you must reside within 30 minutes of the Warburton work centre, have a valid Victorian Drivers license and have the ability to pass a Task based Assessment for fitness. This position is eligible for an operational vehicle in line with MW Motor Vehicle policy and procedures.

The Security of Critical Infrastructure (SoCI) Act 2018 requires Melbourne Water, as an operator of critical infrastructure, to prepare a Critical Infrastructure Risk Management Program (CIRMP), which has been undertaken and managed by the Security and Emergency Management Team.
Melbourne Water are required to assess roles across Melbourne Water to determine what roles are critical under the Act. All employees working in a role deemed SOCI critical will require additional background checks via AusCheck. This role is deemed critical, and the preferred applicant will be asked to undertake an AusCheck.
