About The Role

In this role, you’ll be responsible for developing and implementing a group-wide strategic risk management program, including the roll-out of risk software globally, as well as working closely with regions and projects to deliver on the new governance framework within the Thiess Group embedding the new Management System.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Rolling out risk management software globally
  • Working closely with regions and projects to deliver on the new governance framework
  • Embedding the new Management System across the Thiess Group
  • Innovate our Processes on a Page (POPs) for self-service updates
  • Digitise change management
  • Manage the Enterprise Risk Management Register and associated Board reporting
  • Develop and deliver risk workshops and training programs
  • Participate in Project Reviews as a team member

About You

The ideal candidate for this role will have a relevant qualification in governance, risk management, safety, quality assurance, audit, or business, complemented by 3-5 years of industry experience, preferably in mining or construction. We're seeking an individual with site experience and pragmatic approach to risk management principles and methodologies, coupled with the ability to steer cross-functional teams and drive transformative initiatives.

The successful applicant will be proficient in SharePoint and the Office suite, with familiarity with MS Power BI being an advantage. This combination of educational background, practical experience, and technical skills will enable the right candidate to excel in this dynamic role and contribute significantly to our risk, governance and assurance efforts.
