About the role:

Thiess is seeking an experienced Mining Supervisor at our Caval Ridge Mine located 6km south-east of Moranbah in the Bowen Basin. Our team deliver mining excellence at Caval Ridge with uncompromising safety and environmental standards.

Mining Supervisor will provide effective production and safety leadership to the project production crew ensuring that production targets are met, a safe and healthy workplace for all employees is maintained and community & environmental compliance is adhered to.

Roster will be 7/7 rotating day/night shift.

Some key responsibilities will include, but not limited to:

• Champion for all safety management plans & procedures
• Effectively communicate with other departments
• Leadership and development of crew
• Ensure production targets are met
• Conduct toolbox talks and shift prestart talks
• Conduct statutory inspections of an open cut operation

About you

You are a high achieving and focused Mining Supervisor with previous experience in a similar role. You are committed to driving a high performing and inclusive team.

• Experience in leading a high performance team in Production Mining Environment
• Commitment to HSEC
• Strong communication skills
• Ability to work in a fluid/dynamic environment
• Ability to work in an adaptive team
• Experience with computer-based data and management tools (e.g. Infomine)
