The Opportunity

The Senior IVMS Analyst is responsible for managing the monitoring and analysis of visual data from the In-Vehicle Monitoring System to enhance vehicle safety, enforce compliance, and optimise driver performance. This role will lead IVMS incident data review, report generation and collaboration with site teams to implement corrective actions.

 

About The Role

  • Analyse IVMS data to identify trends, incidents, and potential risks related to vehicle operations.
  • Ensure compliance with regulations and procedures, ensuring all data is managed in accordance with privacy and data security requirements
  • Ensure accurate logging of all data entries, incidents, and anomalies for compliance and further investigation.
  • Respond to alerts or flagged incidents and coordinate with the HSEQ or operations team for timely follow-up.
  • Generate daily, weekly, and monthly reports on IVMS data, summarising key findings for management review.
  • Develop and maintain dashboards and visualisations (e.g., in Excel or similar tools) to effectively communicate data insights.
  • Ensure the IVMS platform is fully operational, performing regular system checks to confirm data accuracy.
  • Troubleshoot any issues related to data recording, access control, or system functionality.
  • Work with Site and maintenance teams to resolve system performance issues and support necessary updates.
  • Collaborate with HSEQ and operations teams to review findings and implement corrective actions based on data insights.

Additionally, you will:

  • Demonstrate and drive the Thiess/ MACA agreed behaviours at all times.
  • Encourage and demonstrate the need for continuous professional development and the value it provides to the organisation.
  • Build collaborative relationships with Thiess’/ MACA’s senior management group, front-line staff and teams.
  • Define and communicate task and performance expectations for direct reports, monitor performance against these standards, and take action where appropriate (including making adjustments to remuneration, performance counselling, initiating removal from role, and restating performance requirements, etc.) in a timely manner and in accordance with Company procedures.
  • Implement role orientation for new direct reports.
  • Take ownership in progressing your own growth and professional development.
  • Identify opportunities for cost savings through technology optimization, process improvements, or system integration, while          maintaining performance standards.

About You

  • Desirable; Experience in monitoring and managing IVMS or similar data systems.
  • Strong analytical skills with attention to detail.
  • Strong written and verbal communication skills.
  • Familiarity with INX or other incident logging systems is preferred.
  • Knowledge of traffic management practices and safety protocols.
  • Adaptable to fast-paced environments and able to handle sensitive information with discretion.
  • Excellent organisation and planning skills.
  • Strong coaching and mentoring skills.
  • Commitment to safety and progressive learning in the workplace.
  • Capacity to engage constructively and respectfully with individuals of diverse backgrounds and abilities to achieve high quality outcomes.

  • Graduation (any stream)
