About the role
We’re looking for a motivated and proactive Operational Technology Technician to join our team, supporting the installation and ongoing maintenance of Collision Avoidance Systems (CAS) across our mining fleet. If you enjoy hands-on work, problem-solving, and being part of a team that keeps critical safety systems running at their best, this role will be a great fit.
Key Responsibilities
- Install, commission and maintain Collision Avoidance Systems on mobile mining equipment
- Assist with maintenance across the broader mine OT and backhaul network
- Carry out inspections, diagnostics, and repairs during machine overhauls
- Perform system upgrades, firmware updates, and configuration changes as required
- Develop strong working relationships with equipment OEMs and technology providers to support smooth integration and performance of CAS technology

About you
- Cert III in Telecommunications, Electrotechnology, Electronics or Auto electrical
- Certificate of Proficiency - in Telecommunications, Electrotechnology, Electronics or Auto Electrical (desired)
- Driver’s license
- Experience working in an open cut mining environment
- Knowledge and demonstrated experience of Network maintenance, Fleet Management System (FMS), Collison Avoidance and other smart machine system
Good knowledge of the following is highly desirable:
- Experience installing, commissioning, or maintaining CAS hardware and software
- Understanding of proximity detection, GNSS-based positioning, and machine-to-machine communication
- Ability to diagnose system faults, analyse logs, and perform system updates
