About the Role:
Thiess is on the lookout for a skilled Tyre Fitter to join our team at the Peak Downs coal mining project on a permanent basis. Reporting to the Tyre Supervisor, you’ll be part of a high-performing crew focused on safety, quality, and delivering real results.
Requirements
- Remove and refit tyres as needed to keep our fleet running efficiently
- Remove and fit rims and wheel assemblies on heavy earthmoving equipment
- Perform routine tyre pressure checks and report any issues
- Access and interpret technical manuals, bulletins, and digital resources
- Take proactive steps to prevent equipment issues and raise any concerns through the right channels
- Work in alignment with site procedures and safety standards
About you:
As a successful applicant, you’ll be a high-achieving safety-focused individual who enjoys delivering results in a dynamic environment. Your attention to detail coupled with your commitment to delivering high quality work will also ensure your success in this role. The ideal candidate will have:
- Experience working as a tyre fitter in open cut mining in the maintenance of a heavy earthmoving tyre fleet
- Hold current AUR21920 Cert II in Automotive Tyre Servicing or AURKTJ011 & AURKTJ012
- Drivers Licence (HR drivers licence desirable)
