Thiess' Curragh Coal Project is located 10 km north of Blackwater in the Bowen Basin.
About the role
As our next Multi Skilled Operator you will work collaboratively towards delivering high-quality solutions and results.
This role is a permanent position that will see you working 12-hour day and night shifts on a 7/7 Roster (Wednesday – Tuesday); full camp facilities are available and bus transportation is provided from Mackay, Yeppoon and Rockhampton.
In this role, your responsibilities will include operation of heavy mobile plant equipment and complying with site policies and procedures to ensure effective use of equipment in a safe and efficient manner.
Successful candidates should ideally have proven skills and experience working as a production operator in an open cut operational coal mine. Additional skills and experience on Truck, Dozer, Grader or Loader operations will make your resume highly desirable.
Role Requirements as a Multi Skilled Operator at Curragh:
- At least 3+ Years' experience operating HME on a mine site
- A commitment to a positive safety culture
- Current Driver's Licence
- Relevant coal mining certifications (e.g. Standard 11)
- A current Section 4 / Coal Board Medical would be desirable
