We are currently seeking an experienced Asset Engineer to join our Thiess Component Rebuild Centre based in Darra, QLD.

About the role

In this role, you will:

  • Undertake technical projects to increase workshop efficiencies and component reliability
  • Assist with providing technical support to the Engineering Superintendent, Workshop Superintendent and the Workshop Manager
  • Undertake analysis and make recommendations to improve component quality and reliabilty
  • Conduct failure analysis through partnering with site personnel and Asset Operations Managers
  • Maintain documentation and systems in alignment with CRC requirements
  • Liaise with external suppliers
  • Comply with Health, Safety and Environment guidelines, systems and procedures

About you

  • Hold a tertiary degree in Mechanical Engineering or a related field
  • Have experience working within the Mining Industry with site based experience highly regarded
  • Be proficient in the use of CMMS, experience using JD Edwards also highly regarded
