About the role

As our next Mining Engineer based in the Bowen Basin, you will report to the Technical Services Manager where you will be involved in the short-term planning of the pit while working collaboratively towards delivering high-quality solutions and results. 

You will need to maintain a safety conscious, efficient, cost effective and innovative work ethic in your approach to scheduling. Duties will also include:

  • Design of the dumps
  • Providing 2 week, 16 week and 1 year operating plans including all required haulage schedules. 

About you

The successful candidate will have:

  • Prior experience working as a mining engineer on an operational mine 
  • Extensive open cut coal mining experience 
  • Relevant tertiary qualifications in engineering 
  • A high level of proficiency in the following software:  
    • Vulcan or Deswik
    • Spry 
    • Microsoft Office Suite
