Due to an internal promotion, we are looking for our next Asset Management Specialist to join the Asset Management-Estimating team in the Brisbane Head Office.

About the role

This role provides maintenance leaders with the opportunity to develop their asset management skills and knowledge in a supportive, exciting and collaborative work environment. As an Asset Management Specialist, you will work with business development and other asset management/operations teams to deliver high-quality solutions and estimates for our current and prospective project opportunities.

In this role, you will:

  • Develop project fleet solutions, including fleet replacement and capital requirements
  • Review and improve asset life-cycle cost estimates, considering latest mining product technology, component strategies, financing solutions and historical performance
  • Develop a comprehensive understanding of the total cost of ownership and balance sheet impacts.
  • Develop plant rates, considering key parameters for open cut and underground mining equipment
  • Develop workshop infrastructure specifications and requirements with respect to tooling and support equipment
  • Present tender proposals and assumptions to senior management

About you

  • Self-motivated and have a desire to develop and improve your skillset continuously
  • Relevant tertiary or trade qualifications
  • 3+ years’ experience in heavy mobile equipment maintenance roles preferred
  • Awareness and understanding of operational maintenance requirements
  • Experience with JDE or other computerised maintenance management systems
  • Proficient in the use of the Microsoft Office suite
