Senior Content Designer

Join one of Australia’s largest design teams as a Senior Content Designer led by our Chief Design Officer.   

You’ll deliver clear, meaningful and compelling content for digital interactions.  You will advocate for best practice content design in everything the team does, grasp concepts quickly, support them to write, rewrite and refine interface micro-copy and customer onboarding content to support a great experience. You know that design without content is just decoration! 

For success in this role, you need to know and model Content Design/UX writing principles, have excellent time and priority management and you’ll perform well with deadlines.  A keen eye for detail and an analytical mind with a problem-solving attitude is a must. 

 

What you’ll be doing: 

  • Work with Product and Service Designers to improve the user experience of existing and new features. 

  • Work in close collaboration with product teams to create micro-copy features. 

  • Develop how-to guidance for pieces of content that get written repeatedly (Error messages, contextual help, help articles, and other content types). 

  • Work with the Principal Product Designers to align the content system with the NAB Design System. 

  • Collaborate on research and validating content designs alongside product designers
  • Ensure a high-quality bar for content and the user experience and help the team deliver high-quality, error-free, accessible UX content on time. 

  • Work in close collaboration with product teams and Product Designers to create world class micro-copy for customer-centric products

 

Your Skills and Experience:  

  • Mindset - A solid grasp of human-centred design (HCD) applying customer-centric and design thinking to create outstanding customer and banker experiences. Have a growth mindset striving for personal and organisational growth. 

  • Research – Perform desktop research such as landscape and literature reviews, competitive analysis, trend monitoring and go to market analytics. 

  • Interviews and Testing – Plan and conduct interviews and testing using various techniques and translate insights into fantastic content solutions and provide strong rationale for the decisions made. 

  • Benchmarking – Define key metrics for evaluating content and overall user experience using benchmarking tools 

  • Accessibility – Experience applying accessibility guidelines to create inclusive content. 

  • Collaboration - Ability to collaborate closely with a cross functional team of Designers, Product Owners, Engineers/Developers and other experts across the business to define easy to understand, cohesive and accessible content. 

  • Communication - Proven experience communicating between technical and business stakeholders, building rapport, and maintaining stakeholder relationships, communicating confidently and presenting in a clear, concise and articulate manner to all stakeholders.
