Head of Technology, Complex Onboarding

As the Head of Technology, Complex Onboarding, you will be part of the senior leadership team in the Technology Customer Enabling division, that’s doubling down on customer obsession.

Each day, you’ll go above and beyond to:

  • Execute the technology roadmap for functionalities related to the onboarding and refresh of complex customers aligned to the Corporate and Institutional Banking (C&IB) Transformation domain.
  • Optimise and align to enterprise wide strategies across Customer Onboarding, Customer Mastering and Financial Crime promoting reuse and a consistent technology landscape across NAB.
  • Partner with the C&IB Transformation domain and other customer divisions’ product leadership in shaping the target state backlog for these use cases.
  • Drive the modernisation of the technology estate including decommissioning legacy assets.
  • Drive productivity & continuous improvement in all aspects of the technology business; and support the strategic direction setting, ensuring technology direction is aligned to architectural roadmaps and the objectives/priorities of the business.
  • Lead, coach & mentor technology staff to drive engagement, improved outcomes, retention as well as uplifting skills & knowledge across the global talent.

We’re looking for the best and brightest to deliver the best for our customers. You’ll need:

  • In-depth experience working in a similar senior leadership role in leading Technology transformations within a large complex organisation in the Banking sector, ideally across the C&IB portfolio.
  • Demonstrable experience as senior technology leader with extensive experience in changing and operating mission critical systems for a large organisation.
  • Experience building, migrating, and managing applications on the public cloud.
  • Building, leading and managing cross-skilled teams located in multiple regions couple with experience in Vendor and Third-Party Management.
  • Extensive exposure to enterprise system architecture, design and development.
  • Experience with building large complex systems with high degree of scalability, simple design and architecture, operability, availability, etc.
  • Experience in modern object oriented and functional programming languages, UI frameworks, container technologies is preferred along with experience with experimentation platforms.
  • Strong understanding of technology & software engineering and an awareness of global technology trends.
