In this Senior Legal Counsel role, each day, you’ll go above and beyond to:
- Build strong relationships with key stakeholders such as Technology and Operations executives, Strategic Sourcing managers and other legal teams.
- Negotiate technology agreements, including cloud, AI, SaaS, core banking and SI agreements and support NAB’s technology procurement agenda.
- Leverage - and help build - our talented team of contract negotiation specialists in India.
- Assist in adopting generative AI and other legal technology in our practise. Work to refine and simplify processes for the benefit of us, our colleagues and our customers.
- Provide strategic legal advice in relation to interpretation of contracts and disputes.
- Work closely with Group Development, Corporate Advisory Legal and Mergers & Acquisitions project stakeholders to provide technology legal support for M&A transactions
We’re looking for the best and brightest to deliver the best for our customers. You’ll need:
- Proven and extensive experience within a law firm or relevant in-house role.
- Demonstrated experience in negotiation of complex technology agreements and providing technology legal support.
- Excellent ability to provide commercial and pragmatic legal advice and exceptional stakeholder management and communication.
- Experience within financial services would be highly advantageous.
- Relevant legal qualifications (and a current Australian practising certificate) and a passion for technology.
