Associate Director, Risk Intelligence

As Associate Director, Risk Intelligence you will join the Intelligence & Risk Assessments team that’s doubling down on customer obsession.

Each day, you’ll go above and beyond to:

  • Provide meaningful contributions the development and implementation of NAB’s financial crime risk intelligence capability across intelligence collection, prioritisation and tradecrafts. 
  • Generate strategic and operational risk intelligence supporting the Money Laundering/Terrorism Financing Risk Assessment for business risk decisions and helping ensure regulatory expectations are met. 
  • Provide expert advice on the threats, vulnerabilities, likelihood and harms posed by criminal exploitation of NAB products, channels and other aspects of the business. 
  • Contribute to the identification of risks, risk indicators, typologies and other trends. 
  • Identify previously unknown threats and risks to NAB and assess the implications of those. 

We are looking for the best and brightest to deliver the best for the customers. You’ll need:

  • Strong experience in financial services, government or regulatory environments with exposure to risk management.
  • Demonstrated ability to deliver strategic reporting.
  • Deep expertise in financial crime risk assessments and/or intelligence.
  • Exceptional analytical skills, including the ability to identify patterns and emerging trends in large datasets. SQL and Advanced Excel capabilities highly regarded.
  • Strong writing and communication skills to support senior decision-making and cross-sector collaboration.
  • The ability to work with various stakeholders including NAB Enterprise, government agencies, financial institutions and other external parties.
