Associate, Structured Finance Services

In this role, you will support the efficient execution of day-to-day activities to support and execute bespoke transactions originated by Group Treasury and the Corporate & Institutional Bank. You will ensure best practice service delivery of accounting and financial compliance to business partners and customers.

In the role of an Associate, you will join the CIB Structured Finance Services that’s doubling down making a tangible difference to customers while keeping it simple. 

Each day, you’ll go above and beyond to:

  • Compile financial reconciliations including month end balance sheet reconciliations for submission to value owners.
  • Preparation of annual financial statements for securitisation trusts
  • Prepare regulatory reports for the timely and accurate lodgement of regulatory returns such as BAS, ITR and APRA.
  • Liaise with Group Finance stakeholders to ensure relevant financial numbers are reported and consolidated within the NAB Group.
  • Assist external auditors and the team to support annual external audit process.
  • Prepare paperwork as required by external tax advisors and Group Tax to support with tax compliance.
  • Complete other Ad hoc initiatives such as process improvements and automation projects.

We’re looking for the best and brightest to deliver the best for our customers. You’ll need:

  • Experience and knowledge in accounting and finance.
  • Strong financial reporting and control skills.
  • CA or CPA qualified or are working towards completing this qualification.
  • Experience in Securitisation Operations/Trust Accounting would be highly regarded.
  • Knowledge and understanding of Excel and/or Structured Query Language (SQL) is preferred.
  • Excellent communication skills and strong attention to detail.
