In the role of Financial Crime Data Analytics Audit Manager, you will join the Internal Audit team to provide deep data led assurance insights.
Each day you will go above and beyond to:
- Define the data analytics approach to execute against the hypothesis as defined by Auditors.
- Source relevant datasets, undertake data preparation and transformation activities and execution of analysis.
- Effective communication of testing approach and results to technical and non-technical audiences.
- Build strong working relationships with internal and external stakeholders across different levels of the organisation. Collaborate with stakeholders to share data driven insights.
- Be flexible and comfortable working in an agile, fast, and constantly changing environment.
- Your work will directly contribute to identifying financial crime risks and strengthening NAB’s controls.
- Contribute as agreed to design and execution of strategic Data Analytics activities.
- Contribute to the data strategy of Audit to continuously grow the team’s capability, use of data science and complex analytics. You will be providing active coaching to team members to advance their capability development in data analytics.
What you’ll bring
- Proven years of experience within a Data Analytics team in Audit, Risk or Assurance functions, or in Financial Services industry.
- Financial crime data understanding and experience.
- Extensive experience in synthesising detailed information and extracting relevant key concepts. Ability to connect data insights to business risks.
- Ability to influence stakeholders with an agile and innovative mindset.
- Strong analytical and problem-solving skills along with advanced SQL, Python and data visualisation expertise. Working knowledge of Databricks, AWS and Azure.
- Demonstrated experience applying statistical or advanced data analysis methods to support investigative or audit-related insights.
- Bachelor’s Degree or relevant experience in technology, computer science, data science or numerate area.
