Head of Digital Assets Innovation
- 12-month fixed-term opportunity to work within NAB’s Group Innovation function, delivering improved customer outcomes by influencing and leading NAB’s digital assets innovation agenda.

As a Head of, you will join the Group Innovation team that’s focused on winning together.
In this Head of role, you will:
- Develop and evolve our strategic digital asset innovation posture, working with business stakeholders and enterprise functions (e.g. Risk, Technology, Legal, Fincrime) to prioritise areas of focus, use case experimentation, and identification of broader organisational enablers/ capability. These activities will be aligned to Group Strategy and focussing on material opportunities that drive customer value.
- Engage in the ecosystem (e.g. customers, partners, market participants and regulators), ensuring that NAB remains alert to the evolving digital assets market across customer demand, regulatory frameworks and competitor activity.
- Understand customer and colleague needs, and how these will be impacted by emerging digital assets capabilities.
- Support senior leaders to provide trusted advice and insight, helping NAB respond to external change and shape strategic priorities through data-backed insights and storytelling.
- Work with divisional business unit stakeholders and enterprise functions to identify strategic priorities and commercial drivers aligned to digital assets.
- Help turn signals from the external environment into validated opportunity spaces and decision making, including areas for further exploration or experimentation.
What you will bring
- Experienced professional with 10+ years of experience within financial services.
- Knowledge of digital asset technology, operational, regulatory, legal and risk considerations.
- Ability to apply your knowledge of digital assets to identify use cases that drive material new customer and commercial value.
- Ability to build collaborative relationships, problem solving across cross functional partners and advising teams and senior executives.
- Experience identifying, developing and supporting strategic innovation opportunities that support the business strategy and achieve intended outcomes.
- Structured problem solving, applying analytical skills, evidence-based decision making and customer centred design thinking.
- Experience in one or more areas of banking product, payments, digital, operations, risk or distribution.
- Excellent verbal and written communication skills to clearly convey expectations and influence improved outcomes.
