Head of Audit - Innovation and Enablement

As a Head of, you will join the Audit team and help accelerate how we use data, automation and AI to deliver smarter, faster and more insightful outcomes focused on winning together.

In this Head of role, you will:

  • Future proof how we deliver assurance and unlock new value for NAB through smarter tooling, data and automation.
  • Identify, design and embed AI enabled and innovative solutions that simplify ways of working, improve quality, to become best in class.
  • Maintain strong engagement with industry peers and communities of practice to bring leading innovation, AI and assurance approaches into NAB.
  • Develop and maintain a clear AI and enablement roadmap aligned to strategy, prioritised, phased and outcomes-led, with measurable benefits and sustainable adoption.
  • Provide oversight and governance of innovation initiatives, aligning to NAB’s AI frameworks, risk appetite and regulatory expectations.
  • Partner with Audit leaders, Digital, Data & AI, Technology, and enterprise stakeholders to prototype, test and embed new capabilities into day‑to‑day audit processes, balancing innovation with quality and control.

What you will bring

  • Innovation and AI leadership, with strong change leadership and stakeholder influence.
  • Experience across enablement, risk assurance, audit and/or operational functions, with a track record of process improvement and measurable outcomes.
  • Excellent verbal and written communication skills, with the ability to translate complex ideas into clear, practical actions.
  • Demonstrated capability leveraging automation, data and emerging technologies (including responsible AI) to design solutions that work in real-world environments.
