In the role of Associate Director, Deal Structuring & Execution (DSE) – Emerging Corporate and Diversified , you will join a high performing team that’s doubling down on winning together in the key growth segment of Emerging Corporate & Diversified.

Each day, you’ll go above and beyond to:

• Provide strategic leadership to a high‑profile team within a priority growth segment, ensuring alignment to NAB’s broader Emerging Corporate strategy.
• Build the next generation of talent by coaching Associates and Senior Associates to deliver excellence in complex deal structuring, risk judgement and strategic file management.
• Operate as a trusted strategic partner to Bankers—shaping customer engagement strategies, strengthening opportunity pipelines, and influencing decision‑making.
• Apply deep commercial insight and sector knowledge to navigate credit frameworks, proactively identifying solutions that enable sustainable growth and expansion.
• Lead the end‑to‑end credit strategy for transactions, shaping credit submissions, guiding recommendations, and supporting pivotal credit decisions.
• Oversee portfolio performance with a strategic lens—maintaining portfolio discipline, monitoring emerging risks, and positioning the book to support NAB’s long‑term growth agenda.
• Drive team agility and operational prioritisation to ensure high performance in a rapidly expanding market landscape.
• Strengthen origination strategy by partnering with Bankers to identify new opportunities, deepen market penetration, and support NAB’s expansion ambitions.
• Build team-wide industry expertise by curating insights, facilitating strategic reviews, and embedding continuous learning to support market-leading performance.

We’re looking for the best and brightest to deliver the best for our customers. You’ll need:  

• Advanced credit and analytical capability, with proven experience delivering high-profile, cashflow lending transactions.
• Strong leadership acumen—with the ability to develop commercial judgement, strategic thinking and execution capability across a high-performing team.
• Deep experience in debt structuring including financial modelling and analysis, execution and client engagement within complex, sophisticated environments.
• Demonstrated ability to operate as a strategic business partner—engaging, influencing and shaping outcomes across senior internal and external stakeholders.
• A commercial mindset with the capacity to solve complex challenges, synthesise insights, and leverage data to enhance customer, portfolio and organisational outcomes.
• A commitment to continuous improvement, growth thinking, and advancing your professional capability to support NAB’s emerging corporate and diversified strategy.
• Experience or exposure to M&A financing solutions (advantageous in supporting strategic growth initiatives).
• Relevant tertiary qualifications, with post‑graduate study highly regarded.
