About the Role
Working closely with the Clinical Education Manager, the Clinical Placements Officer (CPO) ensures that all administrative tasks associated with running clinical placements for the disciplines are undertaken in accordance with School requirements and consistent with Faculty and University policy and procedure.

The Clinical Placement Officer role is to provide essential support to key professional and academic staff with oversight of international and rural student placements. The CPO will assist in the development and establishment of protocols and processes for the delivery of key operational aspects of international and rural student placements. This role will ensure that placements in these areas are organised, compliant, and aligned with the School’s strategic goals, while also enhancing the student experience and fostering partnerships with placement providers and discipline academics.

Your responsibilities will include:

  • Coordinating placement processes in consultation with Clinical Education Coordinators
  • Managing day-to-day queries from students, Clinical Educators and other stakeholders relating to placement
  • Managing the collection of student assessment documentation and assisting the Clinical Education Coordinator with review of clinical assessment documentation as required

Who We Are Looking For
You possess strong communication skills with a high level of attention to detail. Your ability to work both independently and collaboratively within a team ensures efficiency and effectiveness in a dynamic environment. With excellent organisational and time management skills, you can plan, prioritise, and complete tasks within stringent deadlines to achieve positive organisational outcomes.  You will have intermediate to advanced computer skills, able to learn new systems quickly. Additionally, your strong interpersonal skills enable you to engage effectively with diverse teams and stakeholders. 

You will also have:

  • Undergraduate qualification in a relevant discipline and or equivalent mix of education and relevant experience
  • University or Clinical Placement experience
  • Proficient in the use of StudentOne or other key Student and Client management systems

This role requires that the successful candidate must undergo and maintain an up-to-date Working with Children Check. This is essential to guarantee a secure environment for all individuals at the University. In the case the selected candidate doesn't have a valid Working with Children Check, they will be able to apply for the WWCC as part of the initial onboarding procedures.
